GODZILLA x Kong: The New Empire is set to feature the two Titans teaming up to battle a potentially world-ending threat.

But after the trailer for the new movie was released, fans were left stunned to see Godzilla had changed colour.

Why is Godzilla pink?

In the trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, fans immediately noticed something very different.

Godzilla's atomic powers have changed to pink to help him deal with his new enemy.

Fans are used to seeing a blue glow radiate from the King of the Monsters' body.

However, he now releases a pink glow, which is to reveal a significant increase in his power.

Movie-goers will be able to watch Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in UK cinemas from on April 12, 2024.

Who stars in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire?

Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews

Rebecca Hall is an English actress who made her film debut in 2006, when she starred alongside James McAvoy in Starter for 10.

However, the film star got her breakthrough role in Christopher Nolan's thriller film The Prestige.

Her other films include Frost/Nixon, Iron Man3 and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The actress reprises her role of Dr. Ilene Andrews for latest Godzilla/Kong movie.

Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes

American actor Brian Tyree Henry shot to fame on TV playing rapper Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta.

The star then got his film breakthrough role in 2018 with roles in Steve McQueen's heist film Widows, and Barry Jenkins' romantic drama If Beale Street Could Talk.

Like Rebecca, actor Brian also starred in the previous movie

Dan Stevens as Trapper

Dan Stevens is new to the Godzilla/Kong franchise.

The actor shot to fame in 2010, when he was cast as Matthew Crawley in Julian Fellowes' Downton Abbey for ITV.

After leaving the hit show, Dan saw the offers pour in and he made the switch to movies.

The actor was even cast as the Beast in Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast alongside Emma Watson as Belle.
