A pal said Anne had hosted dinner parties in the Cotswolds with Andrew as her plus one

THE Queen has given her royal approval to telly’s Queen of Mean dating her ex-husband — and has even had a laugh about it with the King.

Camilla has known for a few weeks that Weakest Link star Anne Robinson, 79, and retired Army brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, 83, have been seeing each other.

And the Queen — who divorced Andrew in 1995 and married Charles ten years later — is said to back the relationship.

Camilla, 76, and Charles, 75, even joked over dinner about the four of them going out together on a “double date”.

The Sun revealed yesterday how tough telly host Anne — who dispatched quiz contestants with the words, “You are The Weakest Link, goodbye” — had been seeing Andrew for about a year.

The pair were said to be getting on “splendidly”, having being put together by mutual friends.

One of their first dates was a dinner party with former PM David Cameron and their relationship was said to be an open secret in aristocratic circles.

Last night, a source said: “Camilla and Charles have very much enjoyed the coverage of this story — they think it’s hilarious.

“Camilla is very supportive about the whole thing and found out a few weeks ago. They’ve been joking about going on a double date.

“After all, Anne is a strong, lively, opinionated woman. If anyone can crack royal circles, it’s her.”

Sources say Camilla remains very fond of the Brigadier and his support of their two grown-up children and five grandchildren.

Yesterday, the Queen opened Winter Flowers Week at The Garden Museum in Lambeth, South London, and joined the Maggie’s Christmas Carol Concert at St Paul’s Cathedral.

A spokesman for the Queen did not want to comment.

Meanwhile, Prince William surprised a family taking part in a 157-mile sponsored walk in memory of a teenage showjumper who took her own life.

The prince, 41, took to the streets to join mum Emma Webb in Slough, Berks, yesterday.

Her daughter, Brodie, 16, was found hanged at home in Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf, in 2020.

Emma is pulling a life-size resin horse statue from Chepstow to the London International Horse Show at Excel Arena in a 19-day challenge to raise money for mental health charities.

Social media footage showed Willam, wearing a green jacket, surprising the fundraisers and giving them a hug.

A palace spokesman said: “The Prince had read about Emma’s incredible challenge and wanted to join her in paying tribute to her daughter and raising awareness of young suicide.”
