EASTENDERS fans are convinced that the latest trailer has given away a huge festive storyline.
BBC viewers have had their eyes peeled for any clues that might hint at who the soap's next Christmas criminal is.
Now, fans of the show have spotted an obvious link teased in the latest trailer.
A song playing on the jukebox during the trailer, was the same as one played in a previous scene featuring the suspected murderer.
One perceptive viewer wrote to social media with their very one theory, stating: "ON THE JUKEBOX IN THE TRAILER ‘IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER’ IS PLAYING.
"THROWBACK TO THIS SCENE BETWEEN DENISE AND KIM IN DECEMBER (!!!!!!!!) 2020 - IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER IS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND."

The scene they are referring to was aired all the way back in 2020.
Denise could be seen worrying over the possible return of her serial killer ex Lucas Johnson.
The preacher turned murderer, who was played by actor Don Gilet, was sent to prison in 2016 after his killing spree saw five Walford residents lose their lives.
His reign of terror began in 2009 when his ex Trina went to meet him at the allotments, where Lucas ended up impaling and murdering her on a rake.

The reference to the traumatic scene of Denise and the previous horrific plot-line could hint that in an attempt to vie for power, Denise has begun her own killing spree.
Those observing the jukebox in the trailer might have also noticed that the letter buttons pressed in are anagrams of both "death" and "hated" - further alluding to the murder mystery.
Other viewers also stated their own theories, with one stating: "It’s got to be Denise or Kathy. It’s got to be."
A third wrote: "This just popped into my head as a repressed memory. Searched on Twitter & it was there! Yeah it’s a long shot but what if this is relevant somehow? Gilly T = “Jukebox Gilly” = Killer Kathy?"
Meanwhile, the BBC soap has aired five shock exits ahead of the Christmas murder mystery.
The square has said goodbye to Karen Taylor, Mitch Baker, Bailey Baker and Mack and Mia Atkins in the shock storyline.
The Sun had previously exclusively revealed how actress Lorraine Stanley had been axed.
However, the others exits had then been kept under wraps.
