They delivered the penultimate result of the series which saw Nigel Farage evicted from camp.

Nigel appeared surprised and relieved as he stood up and prepared to leave the camp for good.

However, a member of the ITV crew was lurking in the bushes and sprung up to offer some instructions to Nigel within seconds and it was all caught on camera.

The crew member could be seen holding some production notes as she told Nigel what he needed to do next.

A wide shot of the camp was then shown on screens for a few seconds as bosses scrambled to cover-up the going's on.

Soon, the camera cut back to Ant & Dec as they ignored the live mishap.

The show then went to an advert break before continuing on as normal with Nigel being interviewed by the hosts.

Controversial politician Nigel was axed from camp at the final opportunity when he finished in third place on the programme.

Boxer Tony Bellew and reality star and radio DJ Sam Thompson were left battling it out before it was revealed that Sam had been crowned the winner.

Sam was visibly shocked when Ant and Dec called his name out in tonight’s live finale.

He leapt into the arms of runner-up Tony Bellew as he was named the winner.

He said: "Oh my God. I’m really overwhelmed.

"I didn’t think I was even going to be invited on the show. I don’t know what to say.

"Oh my God. I’m so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamt of doing this show for years and years.

"You’ve made a boy’s dream come true. Thank you."

Earlier in the show, fans were left sharing their thoughts on Nigel's exit as some even thought that This Morning presenter Josie Gibson deserved to be in the final three instead of the broadcaster

One fan claimed: "Thank god Nigel did not make top 2. Josie should still be their but Sam and Tony is a great top 2. SAM TO WIN! #ImACeleb."
