Nigel Farage makes first public appearance with girlfriend Laure Ferrari and daughter Isabelle after I’m A Celeb final

The politician revealed he was over the moon that the public had backed him to third place

NIGEL Farage looked delighted as he arrived back at his luxury hotel today after a gruelling stay in the jungle.

The politician, 59, was flanked by girlfriend Laure Ferrari and daughter Isabelle after finishing an impressive third in the I’m A Celebrity final.

Nigel has been supported by both Laure and Isabelle during his stint in the jungle and they both jetted out to Brisbane to be there for him.

Isabelle, 18, the youngest of his four children, even entered the jungle as a surprise – leaving them both in tears.

Speaking beforehand, the fashion student said: “I’m incredibly proud of my dad, I did not expect him to do this well.

"All of the family have been watching every single night, we’ve loved watching it. Even the arguments because that’s who he is, that’s what he’s like. But I just can’t wait to see him now.”

Meanwhile, Nigel’s girlfriend Laure, a French politician, has decided to step into the limelight.

She has secretly dated the Brexiteer since 2017, but has never previously spoken out about their life.

As she arrived in the jungle, she said: “I’m not a secret. I’m here, I do exist and I do support Nigel. It’s very important for me to say that.”

Viewers did however question his awkward reunion with Laure on the bridge - as they put on their first display of public affection.

Last night saw Sam Thompson crowned jungle king, with Tony Bellew in second place.

Nigel, who was paid £1.5million to do the show, said after his exit: "I'm not surprised, I'm absolutely thrilled, not everyone likes the stuff I've campaigned for and stood for over the years but we are all entitled to an opinion and I'm a human being like anyone else.

"I hope this programme has shown I'm as human as anyone else."
