Mama June’s daughter Anna “Chicakdee” Cardwell was desperate for a baby and had four miscarriages before tragic death
MAMA June's oldest daughter Anna Cardwell has died of cancer, as the star suffered numerous miscarriages before her death.
In 2021, Anna, also known as Chickadee, spoke exclusively with The U.S. Sun and opened up about the heartbreaking experience of going through so many miscarriages.
She was trying to have a third child with her long-term boyfriend Eldridge Toney after she had her daughter Kaitlyn Clark, now 11, and Kylee Cardwell, seven - Anna had her youngest with ex-husband Michael.
She revealed: “We are trying to have a third child, and it’s been difficult. I’ve gone through four miscarriages and a D&C.
"It's been a long bumpy road for us trying to have baby number three.”
Anna went on to reveal that her most recent miscarriage occurred two days before Christmas, and she caused her to need a D&C.
According to the , a D&C is a "procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus."
Regarding the D&C, the TLC star said: “It felt like I was giving birth, it was the worst pain of my life. It’s a really painful process, so I’m like you know let's give it one more try. "
During the ordeal, she discovered that she wasn't making enough progesterone which was "keeping the baby from getting enough nutrition."
This discovery came before her cancer diagnosis, and at the time she was determined to keep trying for her rainbow baby.

She said: “We know what's going on now, and we are taking the right precautions to take care of it and make sure it stays alive and everything like that.”
THE MAJOR DIAGNOSIS
In January, Anna was diagnosed with stage four cancer at the age of 28.
She had adrenal carcinoma - a rare form of cancer in the adrenal gland - that had spread to her liver, kidney, and lung, according to .
It was discovered after she complained about stomach aches.
It's believed Anna had her first round of chemotherapy in February and she started to lose her hair because of it.
In March, TMZ revealed that she changed her diet by ditching sugar and focusing on consuming more protein.
Unfortunately, she was still struggling to eat because of numbness in her tongue.
An insider close to the family also revealed that Anna's sleep pattern has changed due to the chemotherapy.
She was exhausted and sleeping during the day but had trouble sleeping at night.
It was also believed that Anna quit her job as a car salesperson to focus all her energy on her recovery.
Then, in July, her mother, June, 44, shared that her daughter's diagnosis was terminal.
REST IN PEACE
On December 9, June, her husband Justin Stroud, and Anna's sisters revealed the heartbreaking news that she had lost her battle with cancer.
Everyone shared the same group photo of the family sitting on what appeared to be the set of the TLC show.
That was the last group photo the family would ever take.
Anna's famous sister Alana Thompson, 18, also known as Honey Boo Boo, wrote a about her sister on Instagram.
She wrote: "Anna was in so much pain last night but now as a family, we all know she is at peace now."
"I really don’t know what to say as my heart is completely broken," the star added.
She said watching her sister battle cancer "hasn't been easy," and that Anna was a "fighter."
Alana also said that she was at home with her sister when she died.
