Josie Gibson shows off I’m A Celeb weight loss on This Morning as she speaks out on Fred Sirieix row
Josie explained how she resolved her row with Fred
JOSIE Gibson has returned to This Morning for the first time since leaving I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The TV star was booted from the series on Saturday night after spending four weeks Down Under.
This Morning host Josie left the UK for OZ on November 11th and made her return to daytime telly on Monday while speaking to Christine Lampard and Dermot O’Leary from Australia.
Josie, 38, was seen in civilian clothing for the first time in weeks and wore a flattering black dress, which showcased her slimmer figure – after living on a diet of mostly rice and beans in the jungle.
The bubbly star, who was given a hero’s welcome by her five-year-old Reggie last night, told her colleagues: “I’ve not eaten a hamburger yet but I’ve cuddled Reggie like you wouldn’t believe.
“It has been so nice to reunite with him.
“Obviously as soon as you step off the plane they take your phone off you, you go to film (introductions), then you go into lockdown. Then we were in (the jungle) for 22 days.
“My first night in there I thought, how am I going to get through this?”
Reflecting on her time on the ITV series, she added: “And I tell you what your ego gets left at the door. You’re stripped of everything, you go back to ‘you’.
“You feel quite vulnerable, and so we all connected really fast.
“I could not have done that expereience without the camp mates that I had.
“They all brought their little bit of magic with them.”
The star also addressed her clash with First Dates star Fred Sirieix who called her out on her cooking in the jungle.
Josie explained: “Oh yeah there was (a little bit of friction), but the thing is, you know when you think, ‘god this has been really blown out of proportion now’
“Me and Fred love each other. We get on. I don’t know what they show, because they’ve got to wrap it up in 22 mins or so, but after we had our ding dong we had a showdown, a proper showdown.
“So Sam (Thompson) called 1, 2, 3, 4, draw. I won the draw, we laughed, we hugged it out.
“I do understand he is a trained chef and he didn’t think I knew what I was doing, but I gave it a good go and I thought my food was amazing. I love Fred, we’ve had a really few deep and meaningful conversations. He’s a great guy.
“I think it was a bit blown out of proportion.”
Christine also hailed Josie “Queen Of The Jungle” after the Bristolian narrowly missed out on a place in the all-male final.
Josie said: “I’m proud of myself.
“I was the last woman standing in the competetion.”
