Three shock ITV Emmerdale theories: affair exposed by surprise villager and baby drama rocks the Dales
CALEB Milligan and Tracy Robinson have been sneaking around the Dales and are trying to hide their affair - but secrets always come out.
This week in Emmerdale, tensions are also running high at Smithy Cottage as Marlon Dingle reaches breaking point this Christmas.
1. Old flame uncovers affair
Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) has caused trouble since he first arrived in the ITV village on Christmas Day in 2022.
A year has gone by since he first walked into the Dales in the hopes of reconnecting with his long-lost family, the Dingles, and, unfortunately, he runs the risk of angering his half-brother Cain (Jeff Hordley) once again.
In recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based program, Caleb was unable to resist Tracy Robinson's (Amy Walsh) charm and the pair have shared multiple charged moments together.
Both characters have had to keep the chemistry a secret as Tracy is married to Caleb's nephew and Cain Dingle's son, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

Unfortunately, secrets rarely stay hidden in the eponymous village and another resident is set to catch the pair in an embrace in scenes due on our screens during the Christmas season.
Coming up, Christmas at Butlers is underway and it’s not long before Caleb and Tracy share yet another charged moment alone.
A little later and with everyone leaving, Tracy stays behind to look after the kids.
Caleb offers to stay back with her and the pair get the alone time they were after.

Sadly, it’s not long before the illicit couple are caught in the act by someone.
Prior to his illicit relationship with Tracy, Caleb was romantically involved with wedding planner Leyla Harding.
In recent weeks, Leyla actress Roxy Shahidi teased that her alter ego could uncover Caleb's affair with Tracy herself and it could either mean trouble or relief for the pair.
"Leyla's had her fair share of affairs so she could go down the route of being Tracy's confidant", Roxy told .
"She might be the only person who knows everything and really supports her to help her get through it."
"I can imagine her doing that, covering up her lies and all of that kind of stuff. But equally, Leyla might be really jealous that she's with Caleb and could out her to the village. It could go either way."
Will Leyla get involved?
2. Shock arrival for Caleb
But while Tracy will one day have a lot of explaining to do to her husband Nate, Caleb isn't a complete free agent.
In recent weeks, soap bosses have promised the arrival of his fiery wife, Ruby Fox-Milligan.
Former The Bill actress Beth Cordingly has been chosen to portray the newcomer and her arrival has been set for January, 2024.
But could she arrive weeks earlier to surprise both Caleb and their son Nicky (Lewis Cope)?
Will she be the one to rumble Caleb's affair with Tracy and expose it to the rest of the Dales?

3. Another explosive romance
Elsewhere, Gus Malcolms (Alan McKenna) overstepped earlier this year by using his ex-wife Rhona's frozen embryos.
And while his attempt at having a baby was successful as he welcomed a baby named Ivy, it also led to the death of his wife Lucy.
Meanwhile, Rhona has struggled with her unexpected connection with Ivy, whom she considers her own child despite circumstances.
In another recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales, Rhona admitted that she was beginning to feel a pull towards the new-born and she was even thought to be trying to steal Ivy away from her father.
After spotting Gus finding it hard to cope with being a widower and single father, Rhona's mother Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) decided to have him move in with Ivy into Smithy Cottage.
Unfortunately, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is unable to face Gus and Ivy without it causing trouble within his own marriage with Rhona.
Coming up, a picture perfect Christmas morning is spoiled when Marlon reaches breaking point with Gus and then storms off.
Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) reminds him that Gus is grieving and he’s convinced to try and save Christmas.
Later, Gus is taken aback by the incredible dinner Marlon has whipped up.
Raising an emotional toast to loved ones, Christmas is back on track.
Off-screen, however, viewers of the Yorkshire-based program have speculated that Rhona's connection to Ivy may spiral out of control.
"Gus is obviously going to have an affair with Rhona", one soap fan theorised before adding: "This is going to be messy. I wonder if Emmerdale go there? Rhona and Gus will bond over the baby. Marlon will feel pushed out."
