Furious Celebrity Masterchef fans slam show as Christmas special line-up is revealed

CELEBRITY MasterChef fans have slammed the show tonight as the Christmas special line-up was revealed.

The BBC show kicked off with a star studded line-up of familiar faces for the special festive series.

The celebrities were all hoping to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, and bag the 2023 crown.

Competing for the Golden Whisk were Mel Blatt from All Saints, soap star, Richard Blackwood, Duncan James from Blue, and Love Island finalist Faye Winter.

The special episode also saw Peter Andre on the judging panel as stars dished up their Christmas dinner.

The celebrities had to rustle up a festive meal reflective of Australia, each with ingredients from their 'Secret Santa Mystery Box'.

But it seems fans were not impressed with the lineup this year - with many questioning who the stars were.

Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: "Oh here we go again! Just z-listers."

A second asked: "Who are these people?"

A third added: "Out of all the past contestants … some of which have been amazing cooks, wonder how they selected these 4 ? Same agents ? It was not based on previous success."
