Popular BBC series confirms return date and major hosting shake up
The Repair Shop's Will Kirk will not be returning for the second series
A POPULAR BBC series has confirmed it’s return date and a huge hosting shake up.
The hit daytime show, will be making it’s comeback in 2024.
Following a successful first series, The Travelling Auctioneers will be returning to screens for a second series.
It will air on BBC One at 4:30pm on Monday 8 January 2024.
But The Repair Shop legend Will Kirk will not be returning alongside Antiques Road Trip star Christina Trevanion in the second series.
The new series will see Christina join a team of new presenters – JJ Chalmers, Robin Johnson, and Izzie Blamer as they hit the road with their travelling auction house and workshop in the new series.
Along the way, they’ll unearth hidden gems and turn unwanted items into winning lots.
Sifting through one family home at a time, the team will first need to identify the items with the biggest selling appeal.
Christina and Izzie will then call on their auctioneer contacts and expertise, whilst JJ and Robin use their incredible craft and restoration skills to bring new life to neglected treasures.
Speaking ahead of series two airing, Christina said: “We’ll once again be covering the length and breadth of the country to see what treasures we can uncover and what beautiful pieces we can give a new lease of life to.”
She continued: “It’s really exciting to welcome Izzie, JJ and Robin to the Travelling Auctioneers family – their combined skills and experience are a huge asset to our team.”
Back in June Christina surprised her fans and left them gushing with a cheeky pic from the set of season two.
In October last year, Will Kirk revealed he would be hosting The Travelling Auctioneers.
He said: “Starting a new job is always a little nerve-wracking, but Christina was just so lovely from day one!”
