Michelle Keegan left mortified after she’s forced to make expletive-filled rant at Joanna Lumley in new Netflix series
MICHELLE Keegan has been left embarrassed after she was forced to make an expletive-filled rant at Joanna Lumley in the new Netflix series Fool Me Once.
The former Coronation Street actress, 36, was thrilled to have the chance to film scenes with Dame Joanna Lumley in the new thriller – although needing to swear at the national treasure didn’t come easily.
Speaking to The Sun, Michelle said: “They were so much fun.
“I mean, it’s not every day that you tell Joanna Lumley to f*** off! That was quite nerve-racking. She made me feel very comfortable from the off. She’s such a legend. Me and my cousin grew up watching Ab Fab, so I was such a huge fan."
Michelle added that Joanna is amazing at playing a 'fiesty role' and it made her go a bit 'feistier'.
The actress continued: “In our scenes our characters do go head-to-head. She is so good at playing that feisty role and it made me go a bit feistier.

Despite playing a fiery character, Michelle still couldn't swear at the legendary TV star during rehearsals.
Michelle added: "I had to match that energy. But in the rehearsals, I wouldn’t swear. I would just say: ‘The F word.’ On a take I’d swear but in rehearsals I wouldn’t swear in her face. I couldn’t do it!”
The former Corrie star was also excited to get the chance to fly a helicopter during filming.
“I was allowed to take over the controls while we were filming over the forest,” she reveals. “Obviously, it was in a straight line. I wasn’t doing any Tom Cruise moves like flipping upside down. But I can now say that I flew a helicopter.
“I’d been in an army helicopter before on Our Girl but that’s completely different. They’re massive. You don’t really feel anything when you’re in the air. This was a four-seater helicopter and getting off the ground, it feels quite rickety.
"It is shaking everywhere, and the noise is so loud. Once it’s in the air and you’re going forward you’re just gliding then and it’s very smooth. I quite enjoyed it. I didn’t like landing. I thought that was quite terrifying but as for going through the air, it’s very therapeutic.”
