Monty Don reassures fans after ‘alarming’ post – as he ‘goes missing’ from Gardeners’ World
MONTY Don has reassured fans after posing an alarming picture from his home.
It came as the popular presenter failed to appear on a special winter episode of Gardeners' World tonight.
Monty, 68, shared a series of pictures showing the grounds of his countryside property completely underwater after flooding.
The presenter captioned the images, in his typically understated style: "Another wet morning..."
The post panicked his followers, with one urging him: "Keep safe! I know you get flooding every year but this looks pretty bad. Keep warm too!"
However, he told them calmly: "No worse than normal," saying to another: "Happens at least 3 or 4 times a year - every year."

It comes after flood warnings were issued in the wake of Storm Gerrit which has brought snow, wind and rain in recent days.
One fan remarked: "It is incredible how parts of your garden survive flooding year after year."
Monty has been keeping his over one million Instagram followers up to date with the weather, writing: "After a day of unrelenting rain, wind and grim grey gloom, the sky broke free for a brief flight of fancy before darkness - and more rain fell."
It comes after Monty revealed widespread changes were afoot at his home and revealing that his spectacular hedges had been bulldozed.

The star wrote: "Pretty dramatic change. Very sad but now the decision has been made it is also exciting."
Tonight, Gardeners' World aired its fourth winter special but instead of Monty it featured Frances Tophill and other members of the presenting team.
One fan posted: "I hate it when they make a gardeners world that doesn’t have Monty Don in it."
