Mr Bates vs The Post Office star Will Mellor in furious rant at the council as tree is ripped down by Storm Henk
WILL Mellor has launched a furious rant at the council after a tree crashed into his wall.
The Mr Bates v the Post Office actor, 47, could hardly be heard through the howling wind as he stepped outside for an Instagram video slamming the local authority for the terrifying incident - claiming "someone could have been killed."
Will told his followers how he had headed outside after taking his Christmas decorations down.
He shouted: "Look - this just happened," as he pointed to an uprooted tree which was now propped against his red brick wall.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star - who lives in a stunning family home in Cheshire - then ranted: "The tree has been completely ripped out of the ground.
"I have been telling the council about these trees for years because I knew something was going to happen.

"It could have killed someone - look at that," before gesturing to the tree's exposed roots.
He then let out a huge sigh as he told fans: "Don't go outside."
In his video caption, he wrote: "I just watched this happen!!!" before adding two angry Emoji icons.
He then uploaded the hashtags: "#weatherwarning #dangerous #galeforcewinds."
Storm Henk has already seen seen 1,000 people evacuated from a holiday park as Brits face a "danger to life" warning.
Torrential showers and blisteringly strong gales are battering Britain with Storm Henk bringing misery to many in the UK, including the hit actor.
Fans were quick to sympathise, with one writing: "Thank goodness you weren’t hurt or your family x."
Another put: "You tell them Will!" as a third commented: "I’d be concerned about that huge crack in your wall now, get a claim in!"
Others were eager to flag their appreciation for his role in gritty ITV drama Mr Bates v the Post Office.
The four-part series is based on real-life events and people and centres on the Post Office scandal of the late 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.
A number of Post Office workers are still receiving financial compensation.
Ex Casualty star Will plays Lee Castleton, a subpostmaster from Bridlington, Yorkshire, who was taken to court by the Post Office after being wrongly accused of stealing.
