  • Who won The Traitors 2022?

After four weeks of skulduggery, it was Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams who triumphed and took a share of the prize pot.

The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, took place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

22 contestants started the show and three of them had been selected as traitors in the first episode.

The traitors were tasked to sabotage challenges and remain undetected by the other players – the faithful.

In every episode, the traitors would remove a faithful, and the faithful would be given the chance to eliminate a traitor if they could correctly identify them.

The final proved to be hard to predict for the viewers, which is no doubt why the show appealed to so many.

And as a result, Sonja says she has lost a whopping 30kg, which is almost five stone.

One of the main parts of The Traitors is the group breakfast, as it is where the contestants learn who was murdered first.

Sonja only managed one breakfast before being banished, but she had just planned to just “eat melon” every day.

  • Where is The Traitors castle?

The popular BBC show is filmed in the nineteenth-century Ardross Castle, around 25 miles north of Inverness.

The Scottish Highlands castle is set within beautiful formal gardens and over 100 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Alness, which features in the first series of the show.

The US version of The Traitors, hosted by Scot Alan Cumming, is also filmed at the castle.

It was originally the site of a hunting lodge built in the 18th century by the 1st Duke of Sutherland.

The land was sold in 1845 and some time later the Baronial style castle that exists today was built.

Ardross Castle was bought by the McTaggart family in 1983 and they carried out renovations to the site.

It’s now a stunning privately run venue which hosts weddings and events, it is also used for filming and photo shoots.
