Masked Singer’s Maypole ‘revealed’ as huge US singer by eagle eyed fans – and she’s been on the show before
THE MASKED Singer’s Maypole has been ‘revealed’ as a huge US singer by eagle eyed fans.
ITV viewers are convinced the series five contestant is former Pussycat Dolls star Melody Thornton, 39.
If the rumours are true, it would mark the second time she's competed on the show, having won Australia's version in 2022.
In a Reddit forum, users claimed the character's clues relate to Melody - including one that she is a doll and another that she was born in 'the year of Orwell'.
The pop star, whose birth year in 1984, wore a mirrored costume to compete as Mirrorball in the Aussie competition, which fans think links to a clue about winning a silver medal.
Many of Melody's followers will know she played Cinderella at the New Wimbledon Theatre in South West London between 2019 and 2020.

Over the weekend, Dionne Warwick was revealed as Weather.
The Walk On By star, 85, competing as Weather, was the first to get the boot in the series opener.
Producers of the ITV1 guessing game assumed she would stay on the programme as she sounded so good.
But after leaving the show, Dionne admitted: “They said I’d be here for this many weeks, and I said, ‘No I’m not. I can’t disguise my voice. The minute I open my mouth, I’m gone!’
“I have never been able to disguise my voice. That’s been my blessing and I never want to disguise it.
“So, the minute I opened my mouth, everybody sussed it out.”
