BBC BREAKFAST fans gushed as a beloved star returned to the show after a year off air.
The flagship programme continued this morning as Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell brought viewers the latest news.
Sally Nugent, who typically hosts alongside Jon, 54, was still missing from the iconic red sofa.
But another star made their highly anticipated return after months off air.
Nina Warhurst delighted fans as she popped up during the show.
The 43-year-old departed BBC Breakfast last year as she headed on maternity leave.
