‘I’m so stressed!’ scream Silent Witness fans as legendary character faces brutal death just two eps into new series
SILENT Witness fans were left shocked when a tense scene ended with a major character dying just two episodes into the latest series.
The crime drama is freshly back on screens for its 27th series and viewers have already been surprised by a major plot twist.
After discovering another potential victim suspected to be murdered by serial killer Calvin Dunn, Dr Nikki Alexander attempts to track him down.
She decided to meet with former forensic pathologist Dr Charles Beck to ask him some questions as evidence indicates his wife was also one of Dunn's victims 20 years ago.
However, after arriving at his house, Nikki is warned by a text that lets her know his DNA has been found at a crime scene.
Rather than play it safe, she decided to confront Charles.

He responded by getting agitated and telling her to leave, saying he wanted everything to end.
She pretended to go and got into her car but hid and watched him as he went into a secret outhouse on his property.
After following him into the cellar she discovered Dr Charles had kidnapped Calvin Dunn and was holding him hostage the whole time.
This means there is a chance that he actually forced the serial killer to murder his wife - or did it himself as a copycat killing.

When Nikki discovered his secret, he panicked, locking her in a cage.
Charles then went on to kill himself in front of his two prisoners in brutal scenes.
Silent Witness fans were left terrified for her safety, and took to social media to share how stressed they were after seeing her in such a dangerous situation.
One person exclaimed: "NIKKI WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!???"
Another wrote: "For once, can Nikki just leave things be? I'm so stressed seeing her walk into danger every season."
A third added: "Also, goddamn it, Nikki, do you never EVER learn not to go anywhere alone?"
