He had an interaction with Suki Panesar who discouraged him from going in, in a bid to keep Kenau Taylor's dead body hidden.

But eagle-eyed fans at home thought the actor looked very familiar - and that's because he is.

Dan Skinner who plays Builder Dave is actually a very famous comedian. He's also starred in Shooting Stars.

He often appears on TV in the guise of his comedy character Angelos Epithemiou.

Dan has been a TV regular for almost two decades after having roles in high profile shows including The Armstrong & Miller show, Coupling, Reggie Perrin and Not Going Out. 

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “That *was* Dan “Angelos Epithemou” Skinner as Builder Dave in tonight’s Eastenders. Brilliant.”

A second wrote: “Is Builder Dave actually Angelos Epithemiou from Shooting Stars? Do we need to ask him “what’s in your bag?” or even once they start work “what’s in the cafe?”

A third penned: “Has anyone noticed that ‘Builder Dave’ is Dan Renton Skinner who used to be ‘Angelos Epithemiou’ on Shooting Stars?”

While a fourth added: “#Eastenders That builder was comedy actor Dan Renton Skinner.”
