LOVE Island All Stars fans are predicting heartache for Liberty Poole after a controversial contestant caught her eye.

The Birmingham beauty's first Love Island stint ended in tears when her relationship with villa bad boy Jake Cornish came to a messy end amid claims of gaslighting.

She's spent the last couple of years healing and is now in a good place, but viewers fear she could be in for a repeat experience.

Not only has she been partnered with her ex in the first coupling, which was decided by public vote, but the man she wants to be with has an equally troubling villa back story.

Liberty surprised fans when she admitted to having the hots for Mitch Taylor, whose player antics last year saw him earn the nickname 'Messy Mitch', and she stood beside him as the lad she found most attractive.

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts, with one writing on X: "Liberty saying she’s done with heartbreak then choosing Mitchell."

Mitch proved a divisive figure in the Mallorca villa last summer.

He was left devastated when Molly Marsh chose bombshell Zach Noble over him.

The Doncaster lad was then branded a "walking red flag" after his treatment of show partner Abi Moores.

Before taking part in All Stars, he said: "I think I went in with my heart on my sleeve the first time and got hurt and this time I am just going in to enjoy myself and if a connection happens, a connection happens.

"Honestly, when I went in for series ten, you saw me and Molly, I went for Molly, I wanted her. And with this one, I am not going to make myself that vulnerable. I am going to play the game."
