Dancing On Ice chaos as Claire Sweeney’s nasty injury puts show debut in jeopardy
DANCING On Ice star Claire Sweeney’s place on the show is in jeopardy after she suffered a nasty injury.
The soap star, 52, hurt her knee during rehearsals and it’s unclear if she will be able to make her debut this week.
An insider said: “Claire has been training really hard, but has managed to injure herself.
“She’s really gutted and is following the advice to help her back on her feet.
“Everyone’s really hoping she will be OK for Saturday because she’s put so much effort into.”
A source close to the show added: “Claire is in great hands. ITV has medical support on site and health and safety across the board. The stars know the risks when joining the show, but they are full looked after throughout. Everyone wishes Claire a speedy recovery.”

Claire, who is currently in Coronation Street, previously opened up about her tough training sessions with pro partner Colin Grafton.
Speaking on This Morning recently Claire said: "Colin is so patient and kind - he’s relentless though.
"He doesn’t give me a minute, I can’t be running out.
"Even when I want to shoot to the toilet, he’s looking at me like ‘you’re lying’."
She also chatted about suffering accidents on the ice and confessed she has found it hard to get back up again at times.
She said: "What’s interesting about the ice is that you have falls when you least expect it.
"It’s not only a physical thing, it’s a mental thing.
"So when I fall - I put my shoulder out the other week and I done my wrist in - it’s getting the confidence [back]. The ice is unforgiving."
And she previously told about another injury in training – which left her ‘hyperventilating’.
She said: "I went down really hard on my knees.
“I was hyperventilating for a bit and they let me go to the toilet.
"I just had a little ‘get myself together’ then went back out.”
Last week saw the first half of the celebs take to the ice – and Ricky Hatton found himself in the skate off.
