It came after viewers matched him with ex Liberty in the first coupling up ceremony - with neither looking too impressed.

Yet when Liberty revealed Jake's foot fetish during the 2024 line-up's latest game, Champagne Dares, many speculated it was the tipping point.

In an awkward moment which almost killed the up-beat tone, Liberty replied: "I'd probably say Jake ... I think the foot fetish."

As the rest of the housemates reacted with surprise, a clearly embarrassed Jake, added to laughs from the others: "That got blown well out of proportion."

Fans were quick to seize on the moment as a major game-changer.

One took to X to write: "Ohh so the foot fetish comment is what got Jake packing looooool I see."

Shortly after Jake quit a source told The Sun: "Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa - they had no idea the other person would be there.

“It was clear from the start they wouldn't get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.

“Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama.
