ONE of The Apprentice's current hopefuls has already had a crack at the business world on TV thanks to an appearance on Dragons' Den.
Dr Asif Munaf, from Sheffield, attempted to gain an investment from the BBC dragons into his supplement business five years ago.
He sought a but it quickly went awry and he had a few awkward clashes with the panel.
Having had a background in personal training, Asif was keen to show off what he described as a "non-steroid performance enhancing" supplement to help people achieve their health and fitness goals.
Despite coming well-prepared, the heat of the Den got to Asif and Deborah Meaden left no stone turn unturned.
During a war of words, Deborah took issue with Asif's smoothie branding as she told him that he was "completely wrong".

Hitting back, he insisted: "I think my branding is quite strong actually."
Deborah was left aghast that the businessman had fired back at her after she tried to offer up her honest opinion.
The bottles of his smoothie were emblazoned with the word "Date" across the front which Deborah insisted would lead most people to believe that it was a product relating to dates.
Remaining defiant, she said: "I absolutely promise you and that isn't coming from any expertise, it is coming from good old-fashioned common sense."

She then further quipped: "Now, the fact that you won't hear that, that's a bit of an issue."
Speaking in a self-released podcast after the show, he explained that he created the idea after not feeling nutritionally satisfied by canteen meals in the hospital where he worked.
He went on to reveal that he was invited to audition for the programme in Manchester's MediaCity and admitted that as the producers liked the product, he was sent to the TV recording in front of the panel.
Asif confessed that despite clashing with the Dragons' on camera, he was grateful to be featured on the show as he admitted that some of the potential pitches are often cut from the final edit.
Ahead of his upcoming stint on The Apprentice, he described himself as "beauty, brains, body and business”.
It seemed that the Sheffield-born doctor is hoping that his looks will be enough to help carry him through the contest after admitting: “I’ve got an extremely high IQ. I’ve got an extremely high bench press. And to top it off, I’m quite good on the eyes.”
However, Asif has recently come under fire after his controversial past use of social media was exposed.
He made historic comments on social media platform X as well as his now defunct University of Masculinity website.
Dr Munaf reportedly wrote a series of tweets full of hate speech regarding Zionists.
In one derogatory post about women, he reportedly asked: “Have you ever met a beautiful feminist?”
While a video on his Instagram account is said to have been titled ‘Don’t Trust What Women Say’.
Dr Munaf’s University of Masculinity account on X, which last posted six months ago, retweeted posts by controversial influencer Andrew Tate.
A spokesperson on behalf of The Apprentice said: “After filming had taken place, we were made aware of concerns over social media posts that Asif had made after he had left the process. As soon as we were alerted, we took immediate action and spoke to Asif in detail on this.
