Strictly champ Ellie Leach reveals her dad has fixed her glitterball trophy after it broke weeks following win

STRICTLY Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach has revealed her dad fixed her broken Glitterball Trophy in his shed.

The ex-Corrie star, 22, said it got damaged in her luggage on the train but is now proudly on display at home.

Ellie, who won last month with pro partner Vito Coppola, said: “My dad took it to his shed and fixed it up.”

On how it broke, she said: “I was just being quite humble, really.

"I had to get all this stuff from London on the train to Manchester.

"I didn’t want to carry it and be like, ‘Oh, here I go’ so it was in my bag and I broke it.

Ellie said Strictly had “changed my life” and is now on the live tour, adding: “We’re just getting back into a routine and it’s amazing.”

She revealed: "I didn't realise how much I would have learned about myself and how much I would have grown in confidence."
