Lucy Fallon's ITV alter ego started off the new year with a discreet comeback to Weatherfield as she stayed away from her family and made the most of her first few hours in the cobbles by bedding Daniel Osbourne.
As regular soap watchers will remember, Bethany left the Street in 2020, just as her ill-fated relationship with the teacher hit the rocks.
Bethany left her whole family and loved ones behind to go to London where she got the chance of a lifetime as a trainee magazine editor.
But after three years apart, the pair were unable to keep their hands off each other.

Daniel and Bethany were eventually caught by Daisy Midgeley, who the teacher had been engaged to, thus marking Bethany's return to Coronation Street.
But in recent scenes of the Manchester-based program, it became clear that Bethany was struggling financially as her journalistic career hadn't panned out the way she had hoped to.
Next week, Bethany finds something new to focus and as Daniel (played by Rob Mallard) gets ready for work, she casually asks him about the cat-fishing between Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).
Daniel immediately refuses to discuss the situation, leaving Bethany further intrigued.

In later scenes, an English lesson finishes, prompting Bethany to pump Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) for gossip about Daisy and Ryan.
Troublemaking Lauren is only too happy to spill the beans, unaware that Bethany is recording their conversation.
Unfortunately, the jig is quickly up for Bethany later on.
When Daniel answers a call on Bethany’s phone from the editor of Chit-Chat Magazine, she is forced to admit that she’s submitted an article about him, Daisy and Ryan.
