He was just 19 years old when he joined the show, describing himself as “a 60-year-old trapped in a teenager’s body”.

Blasting the casting for its 18th series, Ryan-Mark said on his new podcast, : "There's a clear distinction between Love Island and The Apprentice.

"Love Islanders are all gorgeous and ten out of tens, but they're dumb.

"Then you have The Apprentice, they're iffy looking but they're smart.

"I think that's what makes The Apprentice so unique.

"Merging the two makes it so confusing for me."

Eighteen new candidates will soon begin begin the battle for a huge £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar on The Apprentice.

Among them are some very glamorous contestants who love to work hard and play harder.

The entrepreneurs' social media pages are full of bikini pictures, lavish holidays and even a private jet.

However, Ryan-Mark argues they're more interested in fame than business.

"The BBC has been really safe with the casting," he said.

"They don't want any chaos. It's a TV show. Yes, it needs to have the intellect, but it also needs ratings to get commissioned every year. They need candidates with big personalities to drive the format.

"I'm still the youngest to have done the show since 2005. They haven't had anyone younger than me.

"You can see all the candidates are all really old."

He joked: "They're all in their 30s!"
