GREGG Wallace has revealed he has been called a "monster" amid the backlash to an interview about his 'Saturday routine'.
The MasterChef host, 59, came under fire after appearing to suggest he only spends 90 minutes a day playing with his non-verbal son Sid.
The article also said he enjoys an early gym session, a breakfast at Harvester with his PA and a two-hour stint playing computer games.
But hitting out, Gregg has said he was "deeply saddened" by the reaction from fans after the article with went viral.
Speaking to , he went on: "And I'm also a little bit concerned about society at large right now where mass online bullying seems to be some sort of crazy spectator sport.
"You play with your son in the garden. You make dinner for your family and you've played on a computer game, but all of a sudden some people were calling me a monster. You're taking the blocks of time out.

"You give a whole interview and the blocks are taken out. That's not all of your time. It doesn't say I sat with my mother in law and had tea."
Gregg's interview, titled Gregg Wallace My Saturday, ended up trending for most of this week on X, formerly known as Twitter.
At 1.30pm, he said he enjoyed playing with five-year-old Sid in the garden for 90 minutes.
Gregg, a dad-of-three, also revealed that he had told his wife Anne-Marie Sterpini - who is 22-years his junior - that he 'wouldn't have chosen a child at his age'.

"[Sid] used to be in his own world but he's starting to seek company and show eye contact," Gregg explained.
"We'll potter in the garden and play with our two dogs, Wally and Bella.
"I'm a much better father now I'm older although another child isn't something I would have chosen at my age.
"I was always very honest with Anna but it's what she wanted and I love her."
Gregg also revealed that he only cooks dinner for his fourth wife Anna and Sid once a week in the interview.
