Spooks legend Hermoine Norris was seen playing the role of CS Court in the BBC crime drama Silent Witness

On Monday night, the Spooks legend played the role of CS Court in Silent Witness

The actor is well known for playing a spy named Ros Myers in long-running drama Spooks, which was about a counter-terrorism division in MI5 and aired from 2002 to 2011.

Hermoine was seen during the episode with the team who were called to King’s Cross Station Museum, where eight victims had been entombed.

Neil Pearson, best known for playing sub-editor Dave Charnley in Drop The Dead Donkey, appeared alongside the star.

During the Silent Witness episode, he played Detective Inspector Steve Tudor, an officer that helped to investigate the gritty case.

Although some fans were impressed by the acting of both stars in the latest instalment, others just couldn’t get the actor’s well-known role in Spooks out of their minds.

After the two famous cameos, viewers were distracted from all the action, with many flocking to X(formerly Twitter) to pen their surprise at the appearances.

One viewer tweeted: “I find it a bit harder than usual to believe this Silent Witness investigation when it’s being run by a spy and a TV journalist.”

Another added: “I am loving Hermione Norris in this, but keep thinking she is her MI5 alter ego and has moved into a new uniform.”

A third chimed: “Come on, Hermione you’ve come across plenty of serial killers before.”

Someone else followed up: “Hermione Norris is great. Competent cops for a change,” as another typed, “Delighted to see Hermione Norris back on my screen.”

During the instalment Silent Witness fans also became suspicious of Pearso, wondering if his character would be uncovered as the killer.

Many viewers pointed out that his previous shifty roles in mysterious shows like Between The Lines and All The Small Things made them suspicious of DI Tudor.

One viewer expressed: “Right, I know he’s supposed to be a good guy, but when I can only see Neil Pearson as the cheating husband from All The Small Things, I keep accidentally giving him the side eye.”

While another remarked: “He’s still shifty from Between The Lines, honestly. I’m suspecting he’s the serial killer.”

Most recently, Silent Witness bosses have been forced to respond after Emilia Fox was spotted wearing clothes from her friend’s brand in the BBC drama.

In the new series the 49-year-old actress, who has starred in Silent Witness since 2004, modelled at least one item from the collection in every episode.

The clothing range has been popping up in various scenes and in one installment Nikki stunned in a £170 sleeveless jumper and a £220 cordless double-breasted jacket.

In another she wore a cord dress that retails for £295 and £260 tweed herringbone jacket.

Emilia also features on the brand’s website and has plugged it on her Instagram page.
