DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles will be making a comeback on screens very soon but with a new programme worlds away from his usual show.
The new show will see Nick embarking on another extraordinary adventure as he travels to the heart of America.
The Mighty Mississippi with Nick Knowles will be airing on Channel 5 in less than two weeks.
The 61-year-old presenter and adventurer has done it all, but this time, he will be following the mighty Mississippi River from Minneapolis in the north all the way south to New Orleans.
Exploring the Great River Road, which surrounds the Mississippi for most of its length, the DIY SOS star will unravel the river’s horrific past through its connection to the transatlantic slave trade and its role in the civil rights movement.
Cameras will be following Nick as he visits and helps a trailblazing Native American restaurant, sees a spectacular display of water-skiing, and briefly joins a motorbike gang for a whizz on a Harley.

On July 23, a Native American Instagram group named North American Indigenous Food Systems posted a snap of the camera crew as Nick got stuck in helping out in the kitchen.
The picture was captioned: “ British television host Nick Knowles stopped by last week to learn more about Indigenous foods and make a dish with Sean.
“The segment will appear in the documentary travel show Nick Knowles’ Amazing Adventures as part of this season’s explorations along the Mississippi River.”

Recently, Nick opened up to The Sun about having to insure himself to fly in helicopters on his adventure shows.
He said: “You can’t get insurance because a lot of the programming I’m doing, they are such big adventures.
“I actually now pay an enormous amount to ensure I have helicopter extraction cover instead.”
The Mighty Mississippi with Nick Knowles airs Thursday, Feb 29 at 9pm on Channel 5.
