‘It’s scripted nonsense’ vent All Stars viewers as they’re left baffled by moment on last night’s show
LOVE Island fans have been left baffled with a decision by Maya Jama in the penultimate episode of the All Stars series.
On Sunday night’s episode, just 24 hours before the finale, Maya delivered a killer twist by bringing back all dumped islanders from .
At that point, she told them to vote one couple off - with an angry Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted being given the boot.
After that, the five remaining couples were told they had made it to the Love Island finale, which is set to air tonight.
While it’s not normally tradition for there to be five couples left - it’s normally four - fans on the forum couldn’t help but question why the finale needed to be announced to the islanders.
In fact, they branded it ‘scripted nonsense’ and deemed it unnecessary.

“Why do they have to be told they are in the final?,” one wrote, with the added: “They need to be told they’re finalists? Really?”
“Big Brother does the same - it's to confirm no more twists or dumpings,” noted another fan.
“In fairness, I think most Love Island series have four couples in the final but could be wrong on that.”
“Yes but isn’t this the day before the final?” responded another. “Suppose they may not know what day they’re at. It’s more scripted nonsense I guess.”
It seems that the decisions around who made it to the end has been brought into question on X (formerly Twitter) as well.
One called into question how some finalists made it to the end, especially after the exit of Arabella and Adam.
“I'm certain that Love Island is now being manufactured around social media engagement,” one wrote.
“Producers are seeing who's getting talked about online and then creating weird voting set ups to get those people to the final.”
Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk, Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran, Molly Smith and Tom Clare, Callum Jones and Jess Gale, and Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie are now all in with a chance to win.
Maya Jama will return to the villa one last time to declare who the winners are, with the couple taking home £50,000.
Currently, Tom and Molly are bookies favourites to win the top prize.
But before that there’ll be one last celebration - with Ella Henderson performing and a special appearance from Stormzy.
Love Island All Stars finale airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
