The Pope, Donald Trump, Beyonce and Ronaldo all had the trusty tick taken away from their profile descriptions almost 12 months ago.

Cheryl, 58, noticed hers had vanished yesterday, and said: "Can anyone explain why my verification tick has gone / been taken away ? Haven’t done anything wrong on this platform?"

BBC One viewers will remember the actress who played dowdy Heather Trott who was bludgeoned to death by troublemaking Ben Mitchell.

But Cheryl looked very different in the photo she posted alongside her tweet.

Dozens replied to her post, and one said: "Because you’re not the the real Cheryl fuergason!"

Another posted: "I have no explanation for why your tick has gone but I just want to say how amazing you look in this picture x"

Cheryl certainly looked worlds away from her on-screen character Heather, who she played on the BBC soap between 2007 and 2012.

Cheryl recently used the platform to hit out at the BBC.

Cheryl has now moved on  via Zoom for £60 but in an unexpected outburst, the star struck out against the BBC with a brutal message.

It came after she was snubbed for a spot on Get Britain Singing's recent Christmas instalment.

EastEnders' Cheryl Fergison moans she can't get TV jobs and insists Paul O'Grady 'would have wanted' her to present For The Love Of Dog

"And I wasn't invited because?

"Oh, Enders and team, thanks for the memories!", Cheryl angrily penned on X.

Cheryl had already wowed TV viewers in 2013 when she sang on ITV's Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Following her soap departure, Cheryl revealed how hard it was for her to find a new acting job and began broadcasting her new venture, singing lessons, on TikTok.

The poster replied to the many interrogations by indicating that Cheryl could be disappointed to not have been a part of Get Britain Singing's recent Christmas instalment, aired on ITV on Sunday (December 24, 2023).

"She’s fuming she didn’t get asked to do the singing show that was on last night", the fan theorised.
