A BBC NEWS presenter has confirmed her return - a year after being axed by the broadcaster.
has delighted fans by revealing she'll be back presenting the news very soon.
The 55-year-old came off air last year along with four other Beeb colleagues as a result of the two news channels merging.
It also meant a number of stars such as Joanna Gosling departed for good while Martine was left in limbo.
But following reports all five presenters were being offered permanent roles again, Martine has confirmed he return.
She announced the news whilst celebrating her 55th birthday at the weekend.

As a fan asked when they'll see her back on the TV again, she replied: "Yes my birthday is today and I have been thoroughly spoiled. Will be back on air in a few weeks. Take care of yourself."
Martine's followers were left delighted by the news as she added: "I will be back. Just working out the details."
The seasoned presenter as well as Geeta Guru-Murthy, Karin Giannone, Kasia Madera and Annita McVeigh were all stood down last year.
However, in a U-turn two of the women are due to return to the studio imminently.

BBC News have since confirmed Annita McVeigh and Geeta Guru-Murthy have been reinstated and promoted to chief presenting roles.
Meanwhile, Maryam Moshiri has landed her very own BBC News programme - months after appearing to flash the middle finger on air.
The presenter went viral as Beeb viewers tuned in for their headlines only to be met by the rude gesture.
She'll host The World Today with Maryam Moshiri on the BBC News Channel.
