SONALI Shah has shared a bleak update on a beloved BBC daytime show during an appearance on Morning Live.
The presenter has revealed fans will have to wait months for the next series of Escape to the Country.
Sonali, 43, is a regular on the property show and a fan-favourite with BBC viewers.
However, she shared disappointing news when grilled on Morning Live on Monday.
Speaking to Rav Wilding and Michelle Ackerley, Sonali revealed weather conditions are to blame for the delay in filming.
She explained: “We have stuff going on for the new series today.

“We are going to start filming in March or April."
The broadcaster added: “We need more daylight out, so we are going to start filming in a couple of months."
Escape to the Country has been a staple of the BBC's daytime schedule since it started 22 years ago.
Other presenters include Jules Hudson, Nicki Chapman, Alistair Appleton and the late Jonnie Irwin, who died earlier this month.

In a tribute to Jonnie, head of BBC daytime Rob Unsworth said: "He brought such warmth and fun to Escape To The Country where he was a firm favourite with not just viewers, but the production team too.
"More recently, he did some truly inspirational reports for Morning Live about his illness, tackling taboos around end-of-life care and wonderfully demonstrating the limitless positivity that he brought to everything he did."
