RHON-G MOVE

Emmerdale horror as Rhona Goskirk agrees to sick plan to avoid prison

"There's only one way out of this..."

EMMERDALE’S Rhona Goskirk has agreed to ex-husband Gus’s sick plan to blame his dead wife for their crimes.

The vet – who is played by actress Zoe Henry in the ITV soap – is facing years in prison for kidnapping biological daughter Ivy, while Gus is facing fraud charges for stealing Rhona’s identity to have their frozen embryos with now dead wife Lucy.

Will Rhona go through with it to avoid prison for Ivy’s kidnap?

With them both facing prison in Emmerdale, Gus (Alan McKenna) summoned Rhona to The Hop for a meeting that breaks both their bail conditions with a shock plan.

He told her he was facing fraud charges, and with her facing kidnapping charges he wanted to find a solution.

“We are both facing prison now,” Gus said.

“Ivy stands to lose everyone who cares about her. You’re kidding yourself, you know you are.

“There’s only one way out of this. I go to the police and tell them that this whole kidnapping stuff was a misunderstanding.

“I’ll refuse to say a word against you in court. And you’d be busy saying you’d suddenly remembered seeing Lucy the day your passport went missing.”

At first Rhona was horrified that Gus was planning to pin the fraud on his dead wife to keep himself out of prison.

He told her that they could co-parent Ivy and he would cancel the planned move to France – and Rhona appeared to agree.

At home, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) was furious that Rhona was risking everything by trusting Gus.

“I think it’s the only way to get what I want which is all of you and Ivy,” she told him as Marlon questioned how she could trust him.

Rhona added: “Because he’s scared and he doesn’t want to go to prison either. I took her Marlon and that’s the truth.

“The why is because I love her and that’s the same reason that this makes sense. Look at how it’s already affected Leo, April and our marriage.

“I don’t want to keep risking it. I want to move on.”

Marlon asked her if she was asking his permission, or whether she’d already decided to take Gus up on his offer.

“I think maybe I have,” she said.

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
