VANESSA Feltz broke down in tears live on TV after an emotional exchange.
She hosted a discussion with the daughter of legendary broadcaster Esther Rantzen.
Vanessa, 62, hosted a discussion on the Assisted Dying Bill with TV presenter Rebecca Wilcox, 44 daughter of legendary broadcaster Esther Rantzen.
Esther, 83, was previously diagnosed with stage four cancer lung cancer that has since spread to other parts of her body.
The pair talked about the BBC broadcaster's decision to sign up to the Dignitas assisted dying clinic.
Speaking about her mum's choice, Rebecca revealed: "Mum's ideal death, my ideal death that I imagine, I share this with many people would be to be in bed surrounded by my loved ones.

"Take a very gentle cocktail of whatever it may be, and I know I'm simply [saying] buying the medicine here, but then to gently drift off holding their hands.
I wish we were talking about absolutely anything else.

"Who wouldn't hold that?, who instead would want to be in writhing agony for possibly months?"
However as she wrapped up the segment to go to a advert break, Vanessa couldn't hold back the tears.
She said: "Rebecca, thank you very much, and give mummy all my love and a big kiss from me please."

However she struggled to hold back her tears as she teased the next story, saying: "Thank you very much indeed. Very good to see her but my God.."
At the start of the interview the This Morning presenter emphasised how hard this was for her personally as she admitted: "I wish we were talking about absolutely anything else.
"As you know, I'm a longtime friend and great admirer and adore of your mom. So this is very personal to me but agonising for you and I, I really appreciate you talking about this."
Upon Vanessa's suggestion, Rebecca gave an update on her mother's progress.
But the fellow TV personality she couldn't help but admit how hard the interview was for hear, considering Vanessa's relationship with the family.
Upon hearing this, Vanessa herself even teared up during the incredibly personal moment on-screen.
Rebecca admitted: "Oh Vanessa, this is impossible.
"I have been absolutely fine with every other interview [on this subject] but because it's you and I adore you and you are a friend of the family - and as well as one of the world's best broadcasters, everybody should be aware of that - I'm finding it quite hard to verbalise it.

"As you know, as everybody who's experienced cancer first hand, by proxy, you're as good as your last scan.
"And for the moment, the miracle drug that she's on is working. So we're in a sort of holding pattern, but it's an okay holding pattern
