Neighbours legend shocks fans with surprise performance in Aussie pub after courtroom dramas
They told how the legal ordeal 'ruined' their life
A NEIGHBOURS legend left fans stunned with an impromptu gig in a pub.
The musician and actor, 58, who played Henry Ramsay as well as starring in rival Aussie soap Home and Away, took to the stage at a Sydney boozer.
Craig McLachlan showed off his talents alongside country music star Andy Penkow, performing a solo set before acting as a guitarist for Andy’s show.
The Golden Guitar nominee is known for tracks including Fallen Snow and Before I Go and his one-ff bandmate will no doubt have left punters stunned.
Meanwhile, Craig found fame as Neighbours’ Henry, starring for two years between 1987 and 1989.
He played the brother of Charlene Robinson, who was portrayed by pop icon Kylie Minogue.
He then switched for a one-year stint on Home and away from 1990, playing Grant Mitchell.
The screen star also previously launched a pop career – landing a Top Ten hit named Mona.
Last year, we reported how Craig looked completely unrecognisable from the fresh-faced lad with curly blonde locks that first found telly fame.
Off-screen, he has had an eventful few years.
In 2023, he was awarded more than £250,000 after he was cleared of seven sex and assault charges.
Sporting shaggy hair and a rugged grey beard, the dad said the sex allegations “ruined” his life.
At the time, reported Craig told the camera through tears: “You see this is not just about a headline for the day, this is ruining lives.
“Not just me, you want to crucify me? Fine. Look what it’s done to my beautiful partner, look what it continues to do to my family every day.”
On January 11, 2019, Craig was charged with assault and sex offences on four women dating back to 2014 – yet he was cleared the next year.
He was subsequently awarded a more than £260,000 ($500,000 AUD) payout after being acquitted.
