Real Housewives feud as castmates fume over Lauren Simon landing Celebrity Big Brother gig
THE Real Housewives Of Cheshire gang are not impressed after discovering Lauren Simon has signed for Celebrity Big Brother.
Lauren, 46, is due to be entering the CBB house tonight as the new series kicks off but her RHOC cast mates are unlikely to be tuning in.
Insiders claim the ladies are fuming to learn that she has bagged a spot on the ITV show, despite trying themselves to land similar reality gigs.
Long-standing cast members including Tanya Bardsley are particularly miffed after Lauren has ducked out of several series' of RHOC over the years.
A source told The Sun: "The other Housewives Of Cheshire are not impressed that Lauren got the gig because they feel like she has been favoured over them and they don’t get why.
"She left The Real Housewives for a few years, yet others like Tanya were there from the beginning and haven’t had the same opportunity.

"She stuck by the show the whole time and Lauren didn’t, yet Lauren is the one that’s been given this amazing new platform by ITV."
The source added: "A lot of them have had meetings for various shows like the jungle and Dancing On Ice over the years but never got any of them, and now they feel Lauren has just walked into this.
"It’s caused a lot of bad feeling.”
ITV has been contacted for comment.
Celebrity Big Brother line-up
So who are the 12 stars expected to appear in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun's Jamie Downham takes a look...
Louis Walsh - Irish boyband manager who has never knowingly backed down from a fight. Sure to be a huge presence in the house.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - We know from Love Island, the Ek-ster is not above throwing about some dramatics to claw her way to the final.
Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?
Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - don't think she won't do the same to anyone who tangles with her.
Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character.
David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star is sure to bring a bit of the party isle to the house... but will people appreciate it?
Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle is a big signing for ITV, but very much an unknown quantity among viewers.
Marisha Wallace - Top Broadway star may fill the brief of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for'.
Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest.
Zeze Mills - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - which is just what we need in there.
Bradley Riches - The actor played sweet James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper. We'll soon find out what he's really like.
Lauren Simon - She's a Real Housewives of Cheshire star and you don't get on that show by being shy and retiring.
Lauren was born and bread in Cheshire and comes from a wealthy family background.
She joined the cast of RHOC when the show launched in 2015 after previously working in PR and marketing for VIP events and nightclubs.
In 2018, Lauren - who is loved by fans for her eccentric nature - left the show without explanation.
It came following a bitter split with her property tycoon husband Paul Simon, which was viewed by the public at home.
Lauren did, however, return to the show two years later.
Tonight, she will be entering the CBB house alongside a host of famous faces, including Louis Walsh and Fern Britton.
