CHANNEL 5's Love Rat follows a woman who is swept off her feet by a handsome millionaire on holiday.
However all is not what it seems and when she is ripped off by her new lover, she seeks revenge.

Who is in the cast of Love Rat?
Sally Lindsay
Love Rat sees newly divorced Emma seek sunshine and romance on holiday in Cyprus.
But after she falls for a handsome wealthy man, her life changes forever.
Taking on the lead role of Emma is actress Sally Lindsay.
Speaking about the series, the TV star talked about how common it was for women to be ripped off on holiday by con men.

She told : “It's like when you learn a new word, you hear it all the time.
"When I was out there [Cyprus], we were hearing stories of this happening to women.
"There were cases we heard of all the time, it happened to Imogen’s auntie, who played my daughter.
"Alexis [Georgoulis] showed me a thing on the Greek Reporter that somebody had pretended to be Keanu Reeves’s PA, a beautiful young man.

"So there were stories that happened when I was out there, it's actually quite a common thing to be to be singled out and to be manipulated, which is horrific because it’s one thing stealing your money, but stealing your heart is pretty unforgivable."
Away from the show Sally kicked off her career in the spotlight on Coronation Street.

Actor Neil Morrissey on Love Rat's gripping plot
After leaving the Corrie cobbles, she has starred in many top dramas including Cold Call and Mount Pleasant.

On Love Rat Neil Morrissey plays Emma's ex-husband Pete.
The couple are recently divorced, and Emma heads off to Cyprus after going through their messy split.
Speaking about the series, and it's gripping plot, actor Neil said: "We see it [scams] so much.
"It's ever present in the news for the past decade.
"People being groomed online, sending money, giving money, being taken advantage of and being manipulated, it's around a lot.
"I think there'll be a lot of empathy out there."
Neil is perhaps most famous for his role in classic British sitcom Men Behaving Badly, which documented to the exploits of two beer-guzzling housemates.
He also voices Bob The Builder, where he lends his vocals to the title character Bob as well as Lofty and Farmer Pickles.
Neil was also one the bent coppers on Line Of Duty, Nigel, conning the force over his "disability" as he pretended to need a stick to walk.
The actor also appeared in the third series of ITV show Unforgotten.

Actor Gerald Kyd plays the role of hotelier Niko, who sweeps Emma off her feet.
But all is not what it seems, and she starts to think her new lover may be too good to be true.
Away from Love Rat, actor Gerald is best known for playing Sean Maddox in BBC One's Casualty.
The talented star - who is half Greek - also starred in BBC drama The Split.

What is Love Rat about?
The four-part drama on Channel 5 follows mum-of-one Emma, who has recently divorced husband Pete.
When she takes a solo holiday to Cyprus she meets a charismatic hotelier Niko and romance blossoms.
Her new lover then asks Emma to start a life with him on the island.
But after she loans Niko the last of divorce money, he disappears with the funds and she realizes she has been conned.
Where was Love Rat filmed?
Love Rat was filmed in 2022 on location in Cyprus.
This beautiful Mediterranean island can be found in the east of Greece.
Cyprus Film Commissioner Lefteris Eleftheriou said that Love Rat was the first British TV series to be filmed on the island.
According to local press, the show’s production company spent about €1.35M (£1.15M) during filming.
How can I watch Love Rat?
Love Rat will play out over four consecutive nights on Channel 5.
The gripping drama will kick off TONIGHT (March 11, 2024) at 9pm.
