Where is Love Rat filmed?
Love Rat was filmed in 2022 on location in Cyprus.
This beautiful Mediterranean island can be found in the east of Greece, north of Egypt and south of Turkey.
Cyprus' capital and largest city is Nicosia and it is the third-largest and third-most populous island in the Mediterranean.
Cyprus Film Commissioner Lefteris Eleftheriou said that Love Rat was the first British TV series to be filmed on the island.

Being quieter than Ayia Napa, it has a reputation for catering more for family and Cypriot tourism.
The population of Protaras is around 20,000 people, with most of the residents working in the resort industry.

Love Rat stars former Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay as Emma.
Speaking about the new thriller, Sally said: "When I read the scripts, I was really engaged by the story and by the character.
"The script was so clever in the way Emma is emotionally manipulated into acting the way she does.
"She has a level of vulnerability because she'd been through this horrific divorce, and I didn’t see what was coming in the script.
"I found that fascinating and it’s great for the audience."

What is Love Rat about?
Love Rat follows recently divorced Emma as she enjoys a whirlwind holiday romance with hotel proprietor Niko in Cyprus.
Emma has recently divorced her ex-husband Pete and is estranged from her daughter, Susie.
When Niko proposes they move into a villa together, Emma decides to leave her old life behind in the UK.
When Niko says he needs a short-term loan to complete the villa purchase, Emma lends him money from her life savings.
However, she soon discovers everything is not as it seems as Niko, and her money, disappear.
With the help of her ex-husband Pete, Emma sets out on a quest to track down Niko and reclaim what's hers.

Love Rat plays out over four consecutive nights on Channel 5.
The gripping drama landed on the box on March 11, 2024, at 9 pm.
