Since The Repair Shop launched in 2017, Jay Blades and the experts from the BBC One programme have revamped more than one thousand treasured items and historical relics.

Over the years, some of the most notable repairs have included a Jewish Prayer Book that survived the Theresienstadt concentration camp, a rocking horse, a grip used to travel on the Windrush ships, and a 2,000-year-old Chinese statue.

Now, the experts are searching for new treasures hidden across the nation that they can fix and give a new lease on life to inside the big famous barn.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Jay said, “Series ten! It's incredible to think about how many fixes we've completed and we want your help to really uncover some items that will make a difference to someone's family history.”

Ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay added: “We've fixed so many different items, including very niche objects.

“If you have something that is really special to you with a fascinating backstory and is in need of some TLC, we want to hear from you.”

Executive producer Glenn Swift continued: “As well as the fixes themselves, we love hearing the very special stories that make those items quite so precious.

“If you have an item that you hold dear that has perhaps fallen past its prime, then please fill out the form on the BBC website or email us the details.”

The casting call comes after The Repair Shop star Jay joined forces with Sir David Jason for a new BBC series, which sees them meeting talented crafters, hobbyists and enthusiasts nationwide.

However, the Only Fools and Horses star was surprised when Jay told him to 'do one' and walked off set during filming.

David couldn't resist teasing Jay's attempts at crafting barrels, saying:  “Just remember we haven't got three days for this programme…”

Jay jokingly replied: “No, it's not gonna fall in! Listen, less of the verbal over there, alright?”

David fired back: “You should've been way down with your rings on the barrel by this time.”

The Repair Shop fans seriously concerned as string of beloved stars 'disappear' from BBC show with no explanation

A barrel-making professional then assisted Jay, with David mocking: “Oh, you're having the help from the professional?”

Once their workshop was completed, David described Jay's barrel as 'wobbly' and told him to use his thumb to make it sturdy.

Jay responded: “I'll tell you where I'll put my thumb in a minute if you don't stop talking.”

The Repair Shop host received a four out of ten for his work as he playfully threw his apron aside and told the expert and David that he'd had it with their teasing.

As he stormed off camera, the presenter quipped: “The two of you can do one, I've had enough. I've had enough.'

Most recently fans of The Repair Shop were left seriously concerned when several beloved experts were left out of a cast reunion picture.

Star Brenton West posted a picture of The Repair Shop cast as they prepare to return to the BBC’s iconic barn.

However, several experts, including Steve Fletcher, were missing from the reunion picture, which has left fans concerned about his future on the show.
