Adam and his wife Caroline have decided to change an empty room downstairs in their Cheshire mansion into a ‘cinema room/ snug’.

Luxurious cream satin curtains now cover the French doors and a new projector screen has been hung up in front of them.

A flurry cream rug has been bought in along with a huge U-shape seating area and matching footstool made from a fluffy, cream coloured material.

Two dark green velvet pouffes have been added to give a touch of colour, along with several matching cushions.

Sharing before and after photos on Instagram, Strictly Come Dancing star Adam told his followers: “Cinema/Snug, swipe for before and after.”

But although the decor is beautiful, some fans have spotted a problem with the design.

Sharing their concern, one told the actor: “Lovely but cinema snacks will have to be a miss lol deffo things like chocolate!”

Adam and Caroline live with their two young children in Cheshire and they have spent more than a year renovating their property.

The house has multiple bedrooms in soft grey tones, a huge kitchen, stunning black and white tiled floors and huge chandeliers hanging from the ceilings.

It has even been compared to Buckingham Palace.

The couple have kept fans up to date with their home transformation on social media and they have been seen rolling up their sleeves to strip wallpaper and sand walls.

Last summer, the work was beginning to get to Caroline, however, and she admitted: “I feel like we don’t have any pretty things to post! We’re in that weird stage where it’s one step forward, two steps back!

“Plaster dust EVERYWHERE!!! But I just keep thinking if Christmas…and where our tree is going to go!!

“Small progress every day, into making our house a home.”

Thankfully, the couple made good progress and, by December, they enjoyed a cosy Christmas next to a giant tree.

Adam rose to fame in the ITV soap Emmerdale and he is the brother of Ryan Thomas, this year’s winner of Dancing On Ice.

Last year, Adam tried his luck at winning Strictly Come Dancing but his training was hampered by a debilitating condition.

The dad-of-two revealed he has rheumatoid arthritis just days after his place on the BBC show was confirmed.

He explained: “I’ve been in a lot of pain since January, it started with my knees and then traveled to my wrists, fingers and now ankles and toes.

“I never knew what was happening and finally after several blood tests and back and forth to doctors and hospitals, I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis!

“I thought that was something people, later on in there life get… but that’s not the case, clearly!”

Adam went on to say that his diagnosis had an affect on both himself and his family.

“It’s been a tough old year but …,” he continued. “Finally I’m on the right plan now! Finally getting it under control. For now!

“But some days are better than others and am not going to lie, it’s been hard not being able to train properly, it’s has had a huge knock on effect for me personally, but not only that for my family too!!”
