THE APPRENTICE viewers were left livid after this week’s episode and raged that Maura’s win was a “total fix.”
Maura’s team won Lord Alan Sugar’s guided tour challenge this week, but BBC fans think her leadership of the team, which included Flo, Paul, Steve, and Noor, was completely “incompetent.”
This Week’s Challenge
With seven contestants already eliminated, the pressure was on this week and Lord Sugar, 76, expected Team Supream, led by Rachel, and Team Nexus, led by Maura, to pull out all the stops in his guided tour challenge.
This week, the team gathered at the airport to receive video instructions from Lord Sugar, who was sending them abroad to complete their challenge.
“For your next task, I’m sending you to Budapest in Hungary. Budapest is celebrating its 150th anniversary and this year it’s been voted one of Europe’s most popular city breaks and I want you to cash in,” Lord Sugar said in his message.
He continued: “Your task is to set up and run a bespoke tour in and around the city. You have to sell tickets and give your guests an unforgettable experience.

“Now let me give you a warning here. If your tour doesn’t live up to their expectations, your guests can ask for their money back.
“The team that makes the most profit will win, and on the losing team, at least one of you will be fired.”
Viewers expected this to be Maura’s final challenge, as they believed she was a liability to her team. But thanks to her sub-team leader, Flo, who impressed customers with her extensive wine knowledge, Team Supream sold the most tickets and won the challenge.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Rachel appointed Foluso as her sun-team leader, which seemed a smart move as the project manager did very well with sales on the cereal challenge, bringing her team to victory the previous week. However, she missed the mark with sales for the wine tour, which ultimately led to a victory for Maura’s team.

Alongside Foluso, Virdi was also responsible for making sales and he wasted time in quiet areas where there was little footfall.
Rachel ultimately chose to bring Foluso and Virdi back into the boardroom with her, believing they were responsible for the team’s failure.
In the end, Virdi, who had lost all his previous tasks, was fired by Lord Sugar. However, the business tycoon did tell the candidate to “keep in touch” on his way out.
I wasn't losing unless I was getting fired, so by not losing, I was just getting more time with Lord Sugar.

Fans were not impressed with the result
While The Apprentice viewers believe Virdi should have been fired much earlier into the competition, this week they believed it was Maura who deserved Lord Sugar’s wrath because of her poor management.
Furious that she made it through to Week Eight unscathed, livid viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their disappointment.
“Least deserved win ever,” one viewer exclaimed.
“They won despite Maura, not because of her,” another agreed.
While a third said: “Maura should thank Flo for saving her skin.”
“That’s a fix!” a fourth raged.
“How the hell is Maura still here? She’s so incompetent,” another fumed.
“Maura got away with one there,” added a sixth livid viewer.
“Sorry, but Maura did not deserve that win,” another agreed, calling the result “a stitch-up”.
Virdi said goodbye to The Apprentice
After leaving the boardroom, Virdi opened up about losing the competition.
He exclusively told The Sun: “I wasn’t losing unless I was getting fired, so by not losing, I was just getting more time with Lord Sugar.
“At the end of the day, if one of the biggest businessmen in the world liked me and wasn’t firing me and keeping me in the process, why would I care for the opinions of people hiding behind their computer screens commenting?

“I’ve got more respect for Lord Sugar’s opinion than the trolls online.”
