A lot of women feel a pressure to look a certain way or be a particular size, and when you work in the world of showbiz, that's even more so.

But Jasmine, 48, has inspired her fans to embrace their bodies in her latest post, which featured pictures and video of her in various brightly coloured swimsuits while she filmed the Channel 4 show.

She wrote: "Confidence is a state of mind. Although I have been out of my exercise routine and gained around a stone in weight since this time last year, I knew I had this filming to do which required me to be in a swimsuit.

"Some extra lumps and bumps. Some extra rolls around my tummy. Honestly, I feel like the older I get, the less I give a hoot what anyone thinks and the more I accept myself.

"That’s not to say I don’t have my own body anxieties, but I figure the best thing we can do is normalise seeing different bodies on social media."

She concluded: "The things I do for my job!! LOL! It looks sunny but 14° was pretty darn cold. Although I have to admit it has its perks!"

The star - who moved to Spain with her family last year - was seen getting into a rooftop pool in a pink swimsuit before posing on the side, while another clip saw her in a bright blue one-piece while reclining on a boat in the sunshine.

Jasmine's fans were quick to praise her for the post, with one writing: "You look absolutely fabulous Jasmine! So much respect for you. Thanks for sharing, and normalising a positive body image on social media.

"You are the picture of good health and your own positivity shines through and is nothing less than inspirational."

Another added: "Amen to that. Nothing wrong with ageing gracefully and showing impressionable younger ones that it’s perfectly normal. Looking fabulous Jasmine."

A third commented: "You look amazing. There's nothing more beautiful than having body confidence and not giving in to the peer pressure of skinny models in magazines and TV ads . Be who you are!!"

Meanwhile a fourth agreed, writing: "Well I just LOVE the way you look. Normalising the average woman. Do not think negatively your body is awesome."

It isn't the first time Jasmine has spoken frankly about her weight and embracing her curves.

Last year, she was once again praised by fans for sharing a snap that revealed her cellulite and varicose veins.

In a chat with Closer Magazine, Jasmine admitted her first thought was to delete the picture, but chose not to so as not to feed into the "unrealistic expectations" that exist on social media.

She said: "Being in a swimsuit is nerve-wracking and doesn't come naturally to me.

"I have to psyche myself up. I've got imperfections, but I've learned that whatever you're embarrassed about - rather than be ashamed - just put it out there.

"Two years ago, someone asked if I was pregnant, and instead of getting down or dwelling, I just owned the comment and explained that I wasn't.
