TOWIE star Chloe Brockett has revealed the real reason she did not sign up for Celebrity Big Brother after months of speculation.
The Essex favourite, who quit the ITVBe reality show last month, said bosses were in talks for her to head into the famous house for the celeb reboot.
But Chloe, 23, said it never went any further and hinted that her place on the show was given to a rival reality star.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun: "I actually did have chats for Celeb Big Brother and nothing else. I don’t know how that got so blown up in the media.
"It’s obviously show I’d love to do but I was never in the official line-up."
Chloe then teased: "I think they picked Ekin-Su over me and Ekin is amazing, so I can see why."

It comes after telly star Chloe called it quits with on/off boyfriend Jack Fincham last month, but admitted it might not be over for good.
She told us: "I’m single at the moment, it was very shortlived me and Jack. We get on very well.
"People normally say they wouldn’t get back with their ex, but I’m not even going to lie, probably, you never know.
"Sometimes it’s just hard to get back together with an ex and you’re just revisiting old arguments and stuff like that.

"And I think the headspace I was in at the moment, I left Towie and I was really positive and I thought it was the best time for me to be on my own at the moment.
"I would definitely date people but I want to be single right now."
She added: "I definitely think leaving Towie was the right thing for me - I’ve been doing it for five years now and I blinked and I was 23 and I’ll blink again and I’ll be 28 and would have been on the show for 10 years. I think it was definitely time for me to go back."
Chloe made a name for herself on the ITVBe show but has been embroiled in controversy after she was suspended from the programme following a 'glass-throwing' incident.
It was confirmed that she would appear on Celebrity Ex On The Beach later this year also.
Last month, Chloe took to social media to tell fans that she was moving on from Towie.
She shared on Instagram: "I have made the decision to take a step back from Towie, it's been my life since I was 18 and I feel like it's best for me at this point in my life to step away."
She added: "I'm forever grateful to Towie for giving me the platform they have.
