Aaron Dingle confronted over shock lies amid mum Chas’ cancer battle in Emmerdale
The troublemaker refuses to face the truth as his health could be in danger.
CHAS Dingle recently urged the men in her family to go through tests for their own safety – and her son Aaron received terrible news.
As he continues to lie about his results, the Emmerdale favourite is confronted by another villager who sees right through him.
ITV viewers will remember that Chas Dingle (portrayed by soap legend Lucy Pargeter) was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer earlier this year.
While the cancer was said to have been caught early, Chas made a difficult decision for her health and underwent a double mastectomy.
But before her life-saving procedure, Chas urged the men in her family to get tested for the BRCA2 gene, which was deemed responsible for her illness and passed down from her late mother Faith Dingle.
Her half-brothers, Caleb and Cain, received the all-clear but unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Chas’ son learned that he was a carrier of the gene but he decided to keep the news to himself, much like his mother had previously done with her condition.
And although secrecy is of common occurrence in the eponymous village, residents of the Dales have always managed to figure out what was going on behind closed doors.
Coming up, things are tense between Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Aaron as the GP tries to confront him over lying about the gene test results to Chas.
But despite knowing the truth, Liam is bound to secrecy himself as he has to respect patient confidentiality, meaning he’ll likely never tell Chas what he knows.
Could he talk some sense into Aaron?
Could Aaron’s volatile nature lead to friction between him and Liam?
