The upcoming show, which has been changed from Bircking It to Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescue, will follow Stacey, who is currently pregnant with her fifth child, as she helps people who have encountered bad builders.

The 34-year-old will be getting stuck into the work by sorting out shoddy and unfinished jobs herself while inspiring and empowering viewers to take on their own building and DIY projects.

From bricklaying to basic plumbing roof-tiling to mastering hacksaws, Stacey will share the tips she picked up while renovating her home, Pickle Cottage.

Speaking on the upcoming series, the former X Factor star said:  “From an early age, my dad taught me DIY and the importance of fixing things yourself where you can.

“I still find it so satisfying to build or repair around the house, and it saves loads of money.

“Her genuine passion is both impressive and infectious, and we’re delighted to be partnering with her and Channel 4 to bring that invaluable knowledge to the nation at a time when we could all do with more skills that save money.”

Channel 4’s senior commissioning editor Clemency Green added: “Stacey has a natural talent for making a house a home.

“She is perfectly placed to show all of us that with a few clever tips, we can all have a go at DIY and make our homes beautiful on a budget.”
