Billie Faiers breaks down in tears over terrifying moment her baby stopped breathing and they rushed her to hospital

BILLIE Faiers broke down in tears as she recalled the heartbreaking moment her baby daughter Margot stopped breathing before being rushed to hospital.

The former Towie star opened up about the family emergency to sister Sam Faiers on their podcast .

Billie explained how Margot, one, had a febrile seizure and stopped breathing for a couple of minutes.

She called it "the most horrendous, scary moment of my whole entire life."

She added: "I feel like that's really made me run down and ill as well because it's just so scary and worrying."

'Scary moment'

While seizures, which can be brought on by having a high temperature, rarely do long-term damage, they are still upsetting to witness.

The NHS states that the seizures usually last between two and three minutes and affect those aged between six months and six years old.

As Billie talked about her daughter's breathing difficulties, she paused and became overwhelmed with emotion.

Sam encouraged her to let the tears out and admitted it made her want to cry too.

Billie said: "You can imagine as a parent you just think the worst, the panic."

Fortunately, Billie confirmed Margot is now on the mend though is battling tonsillitis.

The 34-year-old took to Instagram last week to share the scary news.

Billie captioned a picture of her with son Arthur, five, and Margot: "One exhausted mumma.

"My little darling Margot has had a nasty virus, on Sunday Margot had a febrile seizure, it was the most terrifying moment of my life.

"It was caused due to a spike in her temperature, I was so scared and didn’t know what to do, we of course called an ambulance and Margot was examined at the hospital.

"After speaking to numerous doctors since they all said the same thing to me, that they are quite common but not spoken about, so I’m sharing this because it may encourage some of you to research what to do in this situation."

One fan commented: "Oh Billie sending so much love to you all!"

Whilst another added: "So sorry darling, get well soon little one."

And a third penned: "Oh my gosh!! Terrifying I’m so pleased she’s ok Billie."

The frightening health incident occurred just a few months after Margot's first birthday.

On that special occasion, mum-of-three Billie took to Instagram to share sweet snaps of her youngest daughter's first year.

She captioned the post: "Happy 1st Birthday to our beautiful darling Margot.

"You truly are the sunshine of our lives we are so blessed to have you our beautiful, funny, loving little baby, you have completed our family. we adore you!

"Our little sugar dumpling, our precious little Pearl we can’t wait to celebrate your special day today we love you so much."
