The contender fell to the floor in agony and the game was forced to be stopped.

As Chung rolled around in pain, the arena watched on as he held his leg and grimaced.

He was then rushed off to get paramedic support.

Chung was then filmed backstage as he got help for his injury - as was seen holding ice pack to the back of his knee.

Unfortunately, Chung was forced to withdraw from the competition and was replaced by contender Matt, who had been knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Host Bradley Walsh updated fans and said: "Earlier we had to suspend the men's Powerball game when Chung sadly was injured.

"After consultations with the medical team, the decision has been made that he can no longer continue in the competition.

"He's doing okay and is receiving the best medical care.

"And we'll get you an update on his condition before the end of the show."

Co-host Barney revealed: "That means we need to bring in a substitute contender and he's someone you may have seen before.

"Please give a warm welcome to Matt."

Civil engineer Matt, from Cardiff, filled in for Chung as he got an unexpected change to return to the show.

Chung then made a comeback at the end of the show as he supported himself on some crutches.

Wesley went onto win tonight's semi-final and landed a place in next week's final.
