EASTENDERS superfans have ranked the Branning brothers in order of who is the most narcissistic.
The Branning family have been part of the BBC One soap since 1993 with the arrival of Carol Jackson, the daughter of Jim Branning, who joined them in 1999.
Since then, the Brannings have made their mark on Albert Square, particularly brothers Max and Jack.
Between them, the siblings have had numerous affairs, dealt with death, prison and criminal activity.
In a discussion on a soap fan forum, EastEnders viewers debated the merit of both men, with one writing: "It’s hard to choose between the two of them, Max couldn’t resist Stacey and cheated on his own son, Jack dropped his pants when his wife wasn’t giving him enough attention.
"Jack also impregnated Roxy & Sam but denied Ronnie a baby for a few years. I’d call Max a womaniser but Jack a serial cheat."

Another added: "Jack, because Jack has the audacity to act like he's a better person than Max.
"Max is an absolute scumbag who will do anything to wriggle his way out of having to take responsibility for his own terrible behaviour, but he at least seems aware that he's a scumbag.
"At the end of the day, he does stuff because he wants to, and there's little other reason for it.
"Jack, on the other hand, acts like he's a saint when he's no different. Throughout the affair with Stacey, he's been trying to justify his position by whining about how hard he's had it.

"We wouldn't have had that with Max; he wouldn't have wasted time trying to justify it to himself or others. He'd have just gone ahead with his own selfishness.
"They are very, very alike. More alike than either of them care to admit. I honestly think that's why they've hated each other so much in the past - because all they see when they look at each other is the worst of themselves."
Meanwhile a third wrote: "Jack because Max had his flaws but he wasn’t really a hypocrite like Jack is. And when Max cheated he always seemed genuinely sorry (or at least pretended to be) where Jack doesn’t.
"It’s always someone else’s fault. Don’t particularly remember Jack feeling bad about getting his on off girlfriend’s sister pregnant."
But another commented: "I voted Max because, even though Jack's a total plank he generally at least tries to do the right thing and usually sets out with intentions to not hurt people.
"While Max doesn't give a damn about anyone else and just focuses on his own wants and desires.
Max is always the worst, little horrible human being he was."

In saying that, at least Max is self-aware about it, he knows he's a hurtful mess and he's upfront about it. Jack always gets on like a self-righteous saint which is off-putting."
A fellow fan agreed, writing: "Max is always the worst, little horrible human being he was."
Max ended up coming out as the worst brother, but many pointed out that there was a third and more evil brother, Derek.
Derek was the main villain in the Square from 2011 to 2012 and many feel he is the worst.
One wrote: "Derek was in a different league though. His "I am Derek Branning, head of this family" ranting monologue, minutes before he did us all a favour and dropped dead, was on a level of narcissism and self-delusion both Max and Jack could only dream of aspiring to!"
Another shared: "Derek, he was vile."

Meanwhile a fellow viewer commented: "Derek, but of these two I'd say Jack."
