CORONATION Street fans did a double take as a 'cobbles legend returned to screens' on twisted new reality show Josh Must Win.
The E4 programme follows four celebrities as they are tasked with manipulating a popularity contest filled with influencers and beauty queens to ensure that Josh becomes the unlikely champion.

Nerdy but nice, Josh lives with his parents and four chocolate Labradors in Bournemouth.
It’s the job of these four personalities - Nick Grimshaw, Vicky Pattison, Pete Wicks and Amber Gill - to support the 23-year-old, secretly orchestrating events from the neighbouring house in an effort to ensure Josh's victory.
The first episode aired on Monday night, but some viewers were convinced show bosses had actually placed a soap star in the fake house with the other contestants.
With his dark curly hair and glasses, Josh reminded many of them of Coronation Street actor Alex Bain, who plays Simon Barlow.

The 22-year-old is set to leave the ITV soap very soon, and viewers joked he had already moved on to a new TV project.
Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one wrote: "Simon Barlow has found a new show to go on #JoshMustWin #TheUnderdog".
Another added: "SIMON BARLOW".
Meanwhile a third shared side by side pictures of Josh and Alex and wrote: "Can't unsee it."

The show came just hours after Alex confirmed his departure from Coronation Street with a selfie in his dressing room.
He captioned the picture: "Well my day is done! Nice and short day today! I'm gonna miss this little space some dearly when I go!"

He added: "So glad I've got some shooting days left! So thankful!"
Alex landed the role as a seven-year-old and shocked fans in 2018 when he revealed he was becoming a teenage dad in real life.
Speaking of his exit last year, a source said: “Alex is sad to be leaving Coronation Street because it really is like a family — but he realises that the time is right to move on.
“He’s very excited about the future and other opportunities.”
