The GoFundMe page was created by friends of the star’s mum Linda, 71.

Ricci Guarnaccio — who starred with George on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014 — said: “It is amazing so many people are doing what they can to help, especially for Linda who is beside herself.

“The family were blind-sided and she is understandably struggling to process the awful news.”

A man was arrested over “gross negligence manslaughter” after the tragedy in Shoebury, Essex.

He was released while police investigate.

Yesterday one contributor to the fund wrote: “To lose your child, no matter the circumstances is heart-breaking and making a donation is priceless.”

And another said: “George, you and your family made me laugh so much on the telly.

“Absolutely heart-breaking news.”
